Your Tasks:

 

  • Managing the European Internet WAN, regional LAN infrastructures and ensuring the security and integrity of all data (including: design, development, operation, maintenance, monitoring and support)
  • Administering the active network components of the EAR (European African Region) IT and maintain secure and reliable network access at all times (including: EAR network and remote access security settings and SSL remote access solutions)
  • Contributing to the planning of European WAN and LAN capacities within the team, monitoring performance and creating regular reports
  • Managing and resolving 3rd level support requests in compliance with all applicable service level agreements and implementing the requirements of the EAR IT Infrastructure Manager (including advice on branch sites)
  • Implementing new applications and system solutions as required and providing technical support in the planning and development of new projects and systems
  • Creating system documentation and contributing to the creation of operational guidelines, procedures and standards to enable representation in the team at all times
  • Carrying out regular maintenance work as well as ongoing identification and elimination of problem areas within the network infrastructure and development of structured countermeasures (e.g. control procedures etc.)
  • Participating in the development, testing and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans and measures
  • Working with third party representatives (service providers, software and hardware vendors) to ensure satisfactory support, delivery and maintenance services are provided
  • Recording and maintaining inventory information for EAR IT devices

Your Profile:

 

  • A successfully completed IT degree or corresponding IT specialist training with relevant professional experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Extensive knowledge on Firewalls (Palo alto add on), remote VPN, IPSEC, Cisco legacy, Ciso Meraki, Aruba wireless, Clearpass, Solarwinds
  • Conceptual and structured way of working
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Initiative and sense of responsibility
  • High organizational skills and flexibility
  • Very good written and spoken English language skills
