Cloud Engineer / AWS Solution Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks:
- Technical support in the planning, development, and implementation of new projects and systems based on our cloud environment, including application and database architecture, middleware interfaces, and cloud security requirements
- Migration of on-premise solutions as well as implementation and configuration of new cloud solutions according to agreed standards and requirements
- Participation in the development, testing, and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans and measures in the cloud area
- Creation of documentation for all relevant work processes to ensure representation by colleagues
- Responsibility as a delegated resource in the EAR T&I cloud team
- Administration and regular maintenance of cloud platforms, including identification and resolution of problem areas as well as patching hardware, software, and operating systems
- Capacity planning for all cloud platforms, monitoring performance, and creating regular reports
- Administration and resolution of 3rd level support requests in the cloud area in compliance with all applicable service level agreements
- Collaboration with external service providers to maintain and improve IT service continuity tools and processes according to industry standards
- Ensuring the security and integrity of all data in cloud and disaster recovery backup services
Your Profile:
- Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical/economic degree program, alternatively a corresponding IT training with professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience in AWS Cloud with a focus on Cloud Security, Integration Services, On-Premise-to-Cloud Migration, and DevOps with a focus on Cloud Automation, ideally in the financial services environment
- Experience in creating and deploying resource provisioning under Terraform
- Hands-on expertise in creating Terraform scripts, as well as Docker container management, ECS, and EKS/Kubernetes, ideally also experience with Docker Compose
- Hands-on experience with classic IT administration (LINUX, Windows Server, infrastructure)
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken (at least C1)
- AWS Cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Security-Specialty, Certified Cloud Security Practitioner (CCSP-AWS) are advantageous
