Specialist (m/f/d) Regional IT System Administration

Your Tasks:

 

  • Administration, monitoring, process optimization and further development of the existing heterogeneous server environment (Windows/Linux) with a focus on Linux operating systems
  • Implementation of updates, patches and security measures with a focus on Linux operating systems
  • Administration, optimization and further development of the VMware virtualization infrastructure and the associated ecosystem
  • Troubleshooting and error analysis in ongoing IT operations (2nd & 3rd level support)
  • Documentation of the IT components supported
  • Evaluation and introduction of new technologies and tools

Your Profile:

 

  • Successfully completed studies in IT or corresponding IT specialist training with relevant professional experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position, especially in server administration with Linux
  • Experience with virtualization and storage solutions (VMware, NetApp) as well as profound knowledge of scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience in the administration of Windows is an advantage
  • A conceptual and structured way of working as well as a high degree of organizational skills and flexibility
  • A strong analytical mindset
  • Outstanding drive and commitment to responsibility
  • Very good written and spoken English language skills
