Your Tasks:

 

 

  • Ensure appropriate quarterly reporting in line with the general guidelines of the parent company in Japan for the Europe-Africa Region (EAR) 
  • Oversee timely quarterly reporting and timely communication of information to the responsible persons (CFO/CEO) by monitoring and supporting the group and country level in EAR
  • Supporting and participating in the development of processes in EAR as part of local projects and quarterly reporting projects initiated by the parent company in Japan 
  • Advising the local and Group-wide accounting and reporting functions in EAR on questions regarding definitions, applicability and expectations for quarterly reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Advising on newly applicable accounting standards and interpretations with the local and Group-wide accounting and reporting functions
  • Participation in the organization and implementation of regular IFRS training courses in the EAR
  • Maintaining and developing guidelines for quarterly reporting and IFRS
  • Deciding on accounting issues relating to quarterly reporting and IFRS in general in coordination with the parent company in Japan
  • Analyzing and developing best practices within EAR with regard to process and quality improvements in IFRS accounting and quarterly reporting

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Successfully completed studies in Business Administration with a focus on accounting/ accounting and finance (Bachelor's and/or Master's degree) or a comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting/ accounting and finance or auditing
  • Experience in the automotive and financial sector desirable
  • Good and fundamental knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) with a focus on the financing and leasing business
  • Ability to understand and then present complex issues in an easy way
  • A high degree of initiative and reliability
  • An analytical and structured way of thinking
  • A talent for communication and an open manner 
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English language
